Voluntary Integration Plan

The purpose of the VIP Committee is to assist and advise the Board of Education in the achievement of Latino students in the following areas:

  * Student Assignment
  * Primary Language Instruction
  * Student Achievement
  * Integration
  * Parent Training and Involvement
  * Special Education
  * Drop Out, Discipline
  * Crosscultural Understanding

The committee consists of 8 parent/community members, 2 parent alternate members and 8 District staff members. There are five meetings held each year. Meetings are held at the District Office from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Community members are invited to attend and Spanish interpretation is provided if needed.
