Home Buyer Program For San Jose Public School Teachers
The Department of Housing in the City of San Jose offers public K-12 schoolteachers a deferred payment loan of up to $65,000 to assist in the purchase of a home in San Jose. For more information you can pick up a THP packet and application from your Human Resources Office or call Korey Richardson at (408) 975-4468 or go to the housing section on our web page and find “City Housing Programs.”

Security deposit discount
The tri-county Apartment Association in association with the City of San José sponsors the “Move for Less” Program which limits the security deposits for teachers to 20% of the rent. For a list of participating properties go to http://www.tcaa.org.
